As The Deer

I got to go to church with Cale! They have chapel at the hospital on Sundays, which Cale usually has therapy, but I was able to talk with them this week, and get it worked out for us to go. It was so great getting to go with him! One of the scriptures that was read was so perfect for what I've been feeling the last couple days. Things are going so good with Cale's progress, but even more I've been feeling so hungry for things of God. Yesterday morning as I was getting ready for the day the song "Hungry" came on, and I had an amazing time of worship. Today we read, Psalm 42:1-2 As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When can I go and meet with God? Hmm...how perfect! He is ALL I need, with Him I am able to take every breath and walk this long journey. He sustains me!

This afternoon, Cale was resting and I made a Target run. When I got back, Cale was down the hall, on his way out the door. I went to his room to drop a couple things off, and I hear an alarm going off...it's Cale. He has decided to escape any chance he can get from the hospital so he now has an alarm hooked to his chair that will go off if he opens any of the doors. Funny thing is that OT and PT have taught him to open the doors! :)

It was a nice relaxing day, he only had PT and OT today, which gave us lots of time to be together. We've been starting to play some games like, memory with cards. It's been fun and exciting because Cale and I love board games! We've had many Friday nights that we would play games and eat cheesecake until crazy late into the night, or morning... :) Sweet memories, and it feels good to make some new ones! I also got to go to dinner with Katie. Her husband Ben is here right next to Cale's room. It's so wonderful having her here! Especially after having to say good bye to Amy! Tonight was the first night that we were able to get away from the hospital and talk. She's such a blessing and I already love her and Ben so much! One day we'll get to do a double date outside of the hospital!
