I was asking Cale to spell a bunch of different words this afternoon. He was getting some and struggling with others, I was so excited he was spelling so many though! After a little while I asked him to spell “Kathleen” he paused and then spelt, “I-l-o-v-e-h-e-r!” Aww! He’s so stinkin’ sweet!!
I was reminded of a song tonight as I watched American Idol. It’s one I’ve heard a few times and I know it’s a fairly known song. Other than it saying, “My faith is shaking” (because it’s not at all!), I felt like this song kind of fit for what’s been going on the last couple days. It seems as though there’s always gonna be an uphill battle and thankfully the Lord is moving each one and carrying us through it all!! Praise God!

Cale took a fairly long nap today, which gave me time to sit and spend time with the Lord. It was so nice! I spent most of the time just sitting. There were calls that needed to me made, and things that needed to be taken care of (and I finished most of them!), but I had to make myself set everything aside (for a while) and just, be.
Very much needed!
Thank you all for praying! I have felt so encouraged today and ready for this next part of our journey...
Just sitting is nice. So few understand the art, os sitting and being still. I love you and trust Father for your sweet care. Hugs, Marion
ReplyDeleteI agree with Marion, just sitting is necessary - be still and know that he is God. I know in my own life that I am always waiting impatiently for the top of the mountain- I have to learn not to just look forward to that. Love you girl.

The psalmist says, "Wait on the Lord; be of courage, He shall strengthen your heart. Wait, I say, on the Lord!" (ps. 27:14). There is no real danger. You are safe while God lives, while Christ pleads, and while the Holy Spirit dwells in you.
Do not be fearful and unbelieving. "Wait on the Lord; be of good courage." Wait on the Lord as a beggar waits for a handout. We have gone to God's door, knocked, and waited, and obtained gracious answers. Wait, but knock as you wait. Knock, but with fervent pleading and strong confidence, for the Lord Himself waits to be gracious. Agonize in desire. Make the door of mercy resound again and again with your resolute blows. The Lord is good to those who wait on Him. He will answer you in due time, and you will never be sent away empty handed. It is your Father's business to provide for you. His name is Jehovah Jireh.
It is your Father's business to preserve you. He has given His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone (ps 91:11-12).
It is our Father's business to mark the future. Our eyes are dim. We cannot see tomorrow. But our Father knows all about tomorrow, and He will be ready for whatever happens.
Therefore, I wait on Him. I raise no questions. I expect great mercies. Blessed are you if you also wait on Him.

Kathleen- I love Caleb's sence of humor !!!!! OMGoodness He is too funny !! The fact that he can think that fast and be that whitty says alot!!! Keep climbing and DON'T look down, just keep looking up. I know when we would go rock climbing and we would be 3000 feet above the valley below if I looked up I saw the mountain still and solid in front of me and my guide before me pointing out - the foot holds the hand holds stretched out for me to find, but when I looked down ......I saw the valley and the rocks and the trees- all the things that could cause me great pain if I fell...and I also saw my fraility...I could die!!!!!!!! I prefer looking up - climbing is a challenge it isn't easy and it isn't quick- but it is amazing when you get to the TOP and LOOK OUT - when you are there and you have made it ~looking down isn't so bad- because on that solid rock I stand !!!When we climb we arn't standing - but the Guide is ever before us leading us encouraging us and perfecting our craft..... We find when we get to the TOP our Guide is the Solid Rock on Which we STAND. Love to you as you CLIMB. Sometimes as you climb you have to wait....you are on the side of the mountain and you are hidden in a cleft waiting for the guide to tell you it's okay to move on ! Blessings poured out all over you as you wait on him who is able to do exceedingly beyond what you can exspect or imagine!!!!! Love you so much girl !!!
