No! Not Again...

I'm sitting here in a yellow gown...yes the darn things are back. Cale started to show symptoms yesterday of the infection and if they continued today, which they did, back on precautions we go :(

I have been thinking the last couple days, that part of this mood Cale is in, was maybe because of the switch in medication. In therapy today, it was decided that this is just another stage of Cale. He was very clear as to what he wanted, at the time he just wanted to lay down. He's making alot of other statements too! These different changes are good, because like I've said before, it's all part of the healing going on. I just have to learn the new dance steps!

If any of you were to see him right now, I think you would be laughing right along with me...there's nothing else we can do. I'm waiting for the nurse to walk in, and see her reaction... ;)

  1. I know that this is a difficult level of coma to be in. You have my sympathy and prayers. I am praying that Cale will move through it this stage quickly and without incident. I'm praying that Kathleen will feel God's presence, be reminded of His great Love for her and Cale, and know increased faith and grace supplied in sufficient amount for each moment. Thank you, Lord, for how you have sustained Cale, Kathleen, and their families through this time. I pray that through Your Spirit, Cale would be calmed when Your Word is read to him and that You would bring reminders of Scripture to his mind and soul that minister to him specifically in whatever situation or state he's in. Please enable Cale to lift his voice to You in prayer and to find relief. Thank you for Your love, God. Amen.

  2. Hello,

I am a Massage Therapist. I heard about your family from my client's Mother who sent your blog link. I work with Jonathan Scott. I just wanted to let you know that the hormone Oxytocin is the trigger for calm and social connection. It is released in the body during massage. Especially massage of the chest will release this hormone. If you have a Massage Therapist as part of your support group they may be able to help with the aggression if they know these techniques. I often teach the techniques to the parents so it can be continued between my visits.

Best Wishes (I shared your blog on my facebook page)

    Daniel Cohen, CMT
