Over the first hurdle-Maybe?

The day started out with Cale sleeping in until the nurse came in to get him ready for the embolization procedure. The procedure lasted for 3 hours and then came the hard part. He had to lay flat with his legs straight for 6 hours.

The first part started out with his speech therapist coming in and doing some testing and then we all played a little game. Then Cale had some visitors. A few were Captian Hart and a couple of other service people and the social worker all stopped by to see how he was doing. Chaplain Brady was also there so we all had a time to say prayer together. After that he had a couple of more visitors. Two of his Physical therapists, Pat and Mitch, stopped by and joked around with him for awhile. It is so great to see how many people care about Cale. Then we decided to play some card games to help entertain and pass some time. He kept saying he was bored, so this helped until he got tired. Kathleen and I let him rest and went and got some dinner. When we got back he didn't have much longer to wait until he could eat. He was pretty happy about that, since it was his first meal of the day.

We got him sat up after the long 6 hour wait of laying flat and got to share communion and prayer with Chaplain Brady before his meal. We noticed his heart rate started rising quite a bit after awhile. He ate his meal and got sleepy so I left, to give him and Kathleen some alone time.

I just recieved a call from Kathleen saying that Cale just threw up and they are also concerned about his heart rate. They are getting ahold of the ENT to see what is going to happen next.

We ask that everyone please keep praying for Cale. We don't know at this point what is going to happen as far as if the surgery is still a go, but will keep everyone posted.
