A sweet treat...or two! ;)

You have to believe in happiness,
Or happiness never comes ...
Ah, that's the reason a bird can sing -
On his darkest day, he believes in Spring.
Douglas Malloch

I'm really into birds lately. I think it's been over the last year or two. I'm guessing part of the reason is because birds are in a lot of the home decor stuff, but I still just love it. Birds are so free and I love how the Bible says in Matthew 6:26 "If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don't fuss about what's on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds."

They are careless in the care of the Lord. Amen! Not too mention, they're sweet and I have a thing for love birds! :) From the time Cale and I started dating, that was what everyone started calling us. Still special to me! :)

Cale had a rough day. After the attempt for PT, that was unsuccessful, I was having a rough day right along with him. He wouldn't snap out of it. I tried to keep my head up, but it took a lot of energy to. After therapy was over, we left to the store to pick out a few things for our big trip coming up. Cale wasn't a fan of the shopping trip, but we did manage to get him two new shirts and a pair of really cute teal flats for me that I really enjoy. They're cute!

Before leaving the mall, we made a stop at the Sweet Factory. Cale was in his happy place for sure! His eyes got so big when we first walked in. Theresa our AW2 met us there, so she got to witness his big smiles! :)We attacked the candy at first, but quickly all of us hit our max...even Cale!

Spring is coming...I can feel it!

  1. I don't remember the whole poem, but the gist of it was two birds talking about humans running to and fro worrying all the time. They (the birds) ended up thinking the humans didn't have a hevenly Father to care for them as they did. One of my favorite things is seeing a flock of birds rise up in the air and fly around. Every once in awhile Father gives my that unexpected gift. You know, i like the Sweet Factory too. Hugs, to you both, Marion

  2. Hope is a thing with feathers
That perches in the soul ~
And sings a tune without the words ~
and never stops ~ at all ~

And sweetest in the gale ~ is heard~
And sore must be the storm ~
That could abash the little bird
    That kept so many warm!

I've heard it in the chillest land~
    And on the strangest sea~
    But never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb~ of Me.
