Sick Bug
The sick bug bit me, so I'm out of commission today. Yesterday I had a terrible sore throat, but I had been thinking it was just from my allergies that had acted up on Friday. As the day went on, my cough started to get worse and by the time Cale and I climbed in bed, I was achy, freezing, coughing like crazy, blowing my nose, and trying not to let my head explode.
Cale was so sweet; he held me and told me that he would take it from me if he could. A few minutes after that, he hugged me real tight and said, “God will heal you.”
It was a rough night for both of us. I don’t think I slept at all and I’m not sure if Cale actually slept! Early this morning I finally took my pillow and headed for the couch. I can’t get him sick!
Tomorrow we’re on our way to Seattle for an ophthalmology appointment and then on Friday he is getting a scan for the radiation treatments. It’s going to be a short trip, preparing for our long one!
I’ve got a vision of pillows and blankets dancing in my head…with a mix of unwanted, but needed tissues!

ReplyDeleteP.S. That picture of Cale and Basil? Well, Carli isn't allowed on the furniture, but that sure looks like her as soon as someone hits the floor!
