Wednesdays are doctor days. That just means that our time at the hospital is a little longer than the normal days because after treatment, we meet with the doctor. It’s not a big deal as long as I have cards (which are always in my purse!) to entertain Cale. The drive home then, includes loud music playing of one of Cale’s favorite bands and me consuming a granola bar, which like the cards, there is always one in my purse. The cranky monster comes out if my over demanding stomach doesn’t receive it’s much needed feedings. ;)
The doctor went over today with us all the spots and scans where Cale is receiving the radiation. He said there are 7 beams at one time on him…crazy huh? Also, the treatment plan is set up for 20 total treatments and today’s was 4 out of the 20. As of now we should be heading home the 23rd of June!
This morning we had OT and took a trip to Pike Place Market. There is so much to see! We only had time (and toleration) for a good chunk of it, so another trip will come soon! There were a couple things I had my eyes on, one of them being extremely tasty jam! We also tasted some chocolate covered cherries (special ones!) that I was so tempted to purchase in the moment of my taste buds doing the happy dance, but the little bag was $10 and Cale said I couldn’t buy it. Bummer man.
It ended up being a good thing though, because I was able to instead use my saved penny’s to buy a cup of coffee at the original Starbucks! I was totally making the moment a lot more exciting then I’m sure it probably was, but it was fun and Cale (the man who doesn’t like coffee), played a long. :)
MMM Starbucks!!!! Yummy!!! I am so glad that things are going so well for the two of you and Cale seems to be tolerating everything so well..An adventure is always fun. I am so happy to see all the fun you two of you are having...You know that we are always always praying for you and we love you so much...

ReplyDeletealso, i thought it was cool that cale said you shouldn't buy the cherries (although i totally don't blame you for wanting them! mmmm!). it shows he's being the husband, and also that he's thinking about things like what costs too much. glad you had fun!!!
YAY!! Father had a surprise for you all along. Remember you saying you dreaded this trip. It's turning out to be soooo much fun. Marion
